Stuart Lawson has been a senior advisor for EY Russia and CIS since 2011 and covers primarily financial institutions. He is a board member of the Association of European Businesses and serves as chairman of the Finance and Investment committee and co chairman of the banking committee. Additionally Mr Lawson is a board member of the Russo British Chamber of Commerce and is co chairman of the Russia stream for TheCityUk on the Moscow International Financial center. Mr Lawson was at Citibank for 25 years in 11 countries and set up the Russian franchise of the bank in 1995. Between 2000 and 2010 he served as chairman of Deltabank, chairman designate of Menatep, CEO Bank Soyuz (a part of Basic Element Group) and CEO of HSBC Russia. He was awarded best banker in Russia by the Central Bank, MoF and bank associations for four consecutive years from 2004. Mr Lawson is an honorary professor at Plekhanov University and a faculty member of the Graduate School of Management (Saint Petersburg University) and lectures extensively on leadership in Russian, European and American universities. He is a member of the Ancient Order of Musketeers.
